Jack Yancick was more than what vascular dementia took from him. He was a man whose stories, humor, character and influence deserve to remain present.
His full biography will be added here as his family gathers the moments that best capture who he was. Until then, MindYes begins with the truth at the heart of this project: Jack mattered, his memory matters, and other families walking this road deserve support.
We remember the whole person, not only the illness at the end of their story.

Vascular dementia is a decline in thinking skills caused by conditions that reduce or block blood flow to parts of the brain. Symptoms and progression vary from person to person.
Managing blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and other cardiovascular risks may help protect both heart and brain health.
Clear routines, patience, respectful communication and caregiver support can help preserve dignity and connection.
